Winifred was born in 26 Coburg Road.   This road was renamed around the first world war to Connaught Road to avoid the connection with the Germans.

According to the 1911 Census Laura and new husband Arthur lived at 58 Marlborough Rd,

Upper Holloway

Winifred spent the first few years of her life living with Mrs Farley.

Mrs Farley took Win to her mothers work place in Arundel Square unannounced and left her there.
